I’ve had the opportunity to work and study with some of the most talented copywriters around. One of my mentors today is Dan Kennedy. He’s one of the highest paid copywriters in the world. Another incredible writer and marketer was my late wife Sue. She had way with words, getting her message across as if she was sitting across the table from you, sipping on a cup of coffee and chatting.

We still use many of the sales letters, brochure copy, and letters Sue created. I have over the years emulated her style, incorporating all of it into our marketing materials, especially our newsletter!

Just as with Print Critiques, I have a passion for reviewing other photographers' marketing pieces. Here’s an example of what we do monthly for Members Only.

Overall nice images but you need more of them. The "Comic Sans" font should be updated to something today’s HS Senior will relate to. The back of the card needs to be used to convey your USP (Unique Selling Proposition). Why choose you over every other studio? What makes you stand out? What can Rosedale Portraits do that no one else can? Special offers work well, but you need to limit them to a specific time frame. Always consider your audience and the way they think and what motivates them!
